Duties and Responsibilities 

• Administer anesthetics 

• Collaborate with other professionals to come up with treatment options 

• Perform surgery on the mouth and jaws

• Provide emergency treatment for facial injuries

• Remove damaged teeth 

• Remove tumors and abnormal growths on the facial regions

Salary: $232,870Education:

• at least two years of college (to apply to dental school)

• bachelors degree (most have it)

• receive dental training at dental school (a 4 year curriculum) 

• complete a minimum of four years in a surgical residency program

• most undergo 12 to 14 years of schooling and above 

Demands for this Career:

• Licensing (required by all states)

•  Must take the Dental Admission test 

•  Doctor of Dental Surgery degree

• Under go dental training  

 

Reflection: 
     This career is about teeth and mouth stuff and that seems boring. I don't want to do this.
