What is it?

 An  American holiday when presidents are honored and remembered. Was established in 1885 to recognize president George Washington, it is still officially called “Washington’s Birthday” by the federal government. Presidents’ Day is now viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present except trump.He's trash. 

When is it? 

Presidents day is celebrated  on the third Monday in February. Traditionally celebrated on February 22 which is Washington’s actual birthday.

Ways people show honor and respect on presidents day:

• Stage celebrations

• Create reenactments

• Education is provided to students about presidents 

Ways I can show respect:

• say the pledge of allegiance to the flag 

• Not going to school 

• Watch a documentary on presidents 

• Learn new information
